About Me
I have been involved in woodworking as long as I can remember. Growing up in New Hampshire I worked with my grandfather who was a carpenter and foreman of a large woodworking shop at the N.H. State Hospital. I helped him on the weekends with his private work and spent a lot of time at the State Hospital Shop as a boy. My woodworking is pretty evenly split these days between woodturning and furniture making. The woodturning has lately concentrated on lidded boxes, bowls, plates and platters. The furniture I most enjoy making is Shaker influenced-the beauty is in the simplicity and utility. Then of course there are the Windsor chairs and stools. I do commission work from time to time. I enjoy it all. I work out of a timberframe shop in Huntingdon Valley bordering a park that I built myself. |
