Simply S.O.T.A.Where YOU are a State of Art

Im Frankie Im down in front also in the Picture is my Captain Brad in the middle and brother Firefighter Brian on top. Im  a fulltime Federal Firefighter at Fort Dix Nj 

I became basically an unexpected artist; after one of our horses gained access to where our bicycles where stored and trampled our bicycles intopretzels. Amazed at how our horse broke into the area by opening the door withhis mouth and angry that the $400 bicycle he rendered useless by his mischievousactions, I took my welder and torch and sculpted my first piece of art out ofthat old bicycle. At the time I was just a little angry and it helped calm medown, having to make something positive from diversity was a great way ofletting go of stress. Its a lot like my job people only call us when they aren’thaving a good day. It can sometimes..... well most of the time be stressful. Sobeing a first responder we often have to try and make the best from diversity and destruction. Property can be replaced people cannot. So we all work hard tosave who can be saved and keep others from harm’s way. 

Emergency workerslook  at things and life different than most folks. Ever since I made myfirst piece of art I felt the creative energy take over and quell my stressesof the day.  I never expected for me to be doing this but it has become apart of who I am now . Up until I brought my art to Patti Ive made it eitherfor friends as gifts or donated pieces to charity. Charity is also a great wayof helping the community and people who are less fortunate than yourself ; charityin itself is a great gift to our soles. Im always thankful for the manypositive influences I have in my life and have a tight close knit circle offriends and only one best friend. Surrounding yourself with positive influencesis the only true way of going thru life. You can never change others all youcan do is cast your energy some will get most wont don’t be discouraged its not you.   I hope I become a great part of influencing how others see theworld of art thru me and if we could get some more emergency workers to take up artistry instead of taking their lives; well that would be a great thing.
